This is clearly where I went wrong with my life - do they need any carpenters or applied chemists?

True, and for those who change their car every three years it makes sense to just PCP the depreciation and keep the £40k balance (or whatever it's then worth) in your account.SiC wrote: ↑Thu Oct 13, 2022 10:57 am £545pcm on lease

Not that expensive really, especially for a main car.
I don't think many people have company cars nowadays. BIK is far too high unless full electric car and doesn't make sense compared to taking a car allowance - basically extra pay.

545 over 36 months plus deposit is just over £20k. Then insurance and tax on top of that.
Scarily I think I have probably spent at least that or more in 3yrs on cars. I might be doing cars a bit too wrongly.

You still have several of them, though, instead of a big space in the station car park after 3 years....
There's a great long bar in Rock & Roll heaven.......

People will never look back and say remember that Volvo you had on PCP.
They will all remember the Porsche and MGB though, and you still own them rather than the finance company.

Each to their own, I'm sure they're happy with their Volvo.
I'd be getting something like a brand new Cayman or Alpine A110 on lease if it was me. But admittedly more expensive than the Volvo.

Stuff that, think bigger and betterer - can you get a dual wheel ram pickup in one of those spaces, full sized F250? You could rent the rear of it for smart car parking.
Even better park for free by PCPing one of those electric SUVs and leaving it connected to a charging point all day.
