I know Liz Truss won't scrap motorway speed limits, but if she did...

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

I'm sure that you asked this about a year ago.
So either dementia is kicking in for me if you didn't or for you if you did.
A VW Camper would go faster pushed from a back of a Hercules than it would on the A303, propelled by the might of a 1600 twin port Bad Boy.

Dat's Fo Sho.

Ariel atom V8 is 0-60 in 2.3 seconds and over 900bhp per ton.
I reckon if any car could do it the atom would.

If that's what passes as journalism these days there's no wonder people don't read the paper, you've got to wonder if Tesla are paying per mention.

This is the nearest that I can find and it seems to ring a bell:

https://supercarlists.com/fastest-cars-0-100-0-mph

If I could remember my A level maths formulas I might be able to verify it by seeing what the 0-100 time is and making an assumption or two (or maybe not).

I’m not going to incriminate myself on this public side of the forum , but as someone who’s often had access to some fast cars , I’d say our motorways aren’t good enough for unlimited driving. A piece of road that seems OK cruising along in the rush hour 90mph commute is a something else entirely at twice that speed or even 140/50. And that’s in brand new 48v active air suspended exotica, not an old C63 on coil overs and part worn Nexans. This M40 is effectively unlimited from the M25 to the M42 but I’d rarely want to go much more than 100mph on most of it due to the bumps and dips.

I’ve never driven a Range Rover SVR of any type but even 300 bhp Range Rovers feel scary flat out, it’s a miracle that the Iraqi twat is the first to ha e such a high profile accident in a 500+ bhp RR.

So the answer is obviously , unlimited for me 100 for everybody else.

I often exceeded 140 mph on bikes when working. Had a BMW S1000RR bouncing off of the limiter in top along the M2 towards and from Dover, more than once.

Rode from Andover to Maidstone in 52 minutes one afternoon (on an FJR1300), but then I was using blue lights and riding with two other bikes doing the same.

Wouldn't do the same now, although roads here, including motorways, are better surfaced and carry less traffic. If I have to get somewhere that is 120kms away on the motorway, I know I will be there in an hour without breaking the speed limit.
