His had four round ones which I though looked odd.
I think that makes your mate’s one a 1968 , like the one in Bullit. If I was going to make a movie/telly rep out of a Charger that’s the one I’d go for, complete with infinite hubcaps.

Did that A40 pickup have something meaty under the bonnet to back up those mean looks?

Didn't see it start up or move, so I don't know.

That's about right. Those big blocks are so understressed that they're really quite quiet until you punch the gas.

Trouble with a really well balanced exhaust like that is it sounds like a Morris Minor when it idles.
The exhaust on my 8 sounds like that also.

Alter the length of a few of the header tubes and you get the familiar geblub-geblub-geblub idle you associate with an American V8.

There was this custom Hotrod too that was quite cool. Unfortunately I stopped filming just as he blipped the throttle. Hence the cut half way through. Again didn't bother originally uploading it.

Got some history, that, it was about in the Seventies and I'm pretty sure featured in Custom Car magazine when I was still at school!

Certainly a better turnout of cars than any get-together I went to when I was living there.

Looks like it was for sale earlier this year.

I definitely have an oil leak. This was the state when I arrived.

Which is pretty bad considering I only did about 30 miles. Coming home left quite a mess. Can't actually see where it's leaking from on the oil cooler.

Lovely Triumph Vitesse.

Re oil cooler. Just get rid of it. Modern oils don't need it.
