Ridden or hanging it on the clutch on hills , and fucked the thrust bearing washers too due to low oil ?

I make a purposeful mental note of keeping my foot well away from the clutch. With a left side weakness I can be heavy on clutches at times but the Ignis and astra I've drilled it into my mind to keep foot away at all times except when needed.

Astra is going, replacement purchased. Cheapest car with MOT near to me that I could find.

It wasn't without it's issues and be a false economy to replace everything. The replacement is even more away from an ideal takeaway hack but it was cheapest thing with MOT available within 30 miles

The grumble on the bottom end could well been the clutch but I'd still have the loss of compression on pot 4,tyres to replace and the rust under the plastic sill trims. Also mechanic going on holiday tomorrow and I'd lose too much money being off the road.
