Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Fingers crossed.
I remember a mate had a new picasso in about 2009. His boot wouldn't open and I traced it to a microswitch just like that. You pulled the hatch and it must activate that tiny little switch to operate the solenoid. I couldn't believe the whole operation depended on something so feeble. Nothing like the proper handles, rods and levers I was used to.
Edit. Looking back it might have been his earlier picasso which was an '02 hdi.

I think I'm going to stick my 600 into Matthewsons, save being messed around, then look for my next toy. So far, Matthewsons have been sound.

I ended up using a push switch off an old computer case when the Multipla one failed on the boot. Glue gun and solder to the rescue.

Less annoying tag line.
Just when I thought I was out they dragged me back in.

Yeah it has had a couple of sniffs and at that price I am making a decent profit so I could drop it but that will be a last resort. It ends tomorrow and I will relist probably the middle of April when things start opening up again. If I can make a decent profit on it I will probably import some other stuff.

Isn't it just the tailpipe that has fallen off on that?

I have done a bit more to the black one today ready for a proper effort to sell it next month. Today I got another job sorted, the electric seats all work now. The motors are a bit sluggish but they move in all directions. I don't think the memory works though but that isn't the end of the world. Also no cruise control working on either car but that looks like a lot of hassle to fix so won't get done. I am going to order a wheel bearing and a pump body for it later today as it has a little noise from the o/s/f bearing and leaks a bit of fluid when you leave it standing for a few days. Another couple of hundred quid to throw at it but once it is done I know it will be right. I gave the leather a feed the other day and it isn't too shabby at all and certainly doesn't look or feel like a car that has done 200k. It will only be the varnish on the door tops to sort and some tidying to the body to make a really nice car. It isn't bad as it is and just needs some using now.
