Right then. This has been sitting outside my unit for ages looking sorry for itself, mostly because DVLA were pretty much shut for a bit and it needed a tax class change from disabled, I didn’t want to risk posting them the V62 when they were properly shut.
Chucked it in for a MoT today since it was out tomorrow. Halfords was the only test centre I could get a booking at with short notice, apprehensive as ever but it only went and passed
It’s now taxed for 6 months and tested. Need to wait for the V5 to come back now, could be a while aparrently.
Still get the odd noise from it that I thought was a bearing but it’s obviously not that bad. Fuck it, it’ll be alright.
They sent me some weird real time photo shoot of it being tested
It’s going to be pressed into service for a bit - FiL needs a car whilst I get the Duster that he normally drives serviced and tested.
Should I buy a Rav4 ?

Aye it’s a tidy old thing. Couple of advisories - brakes (probably due to being sat) and ball joint boots. Doubt the brakes actually need work, but I’ll probably change the boots.

DVLA were pretty quick to return my bike V5 with a new tax class in 3 or 4 weeks, I had to send it back as they'd randomly changed the colour but that only took another week.

Oh really? The PO staff said it’ll take ages, hopefully your experience is more typical.

Bloody hell you still have it I thought it had moved on to a new home ages ago. It is a good old bus and it would be nice to see it rehomed permanently. The customer I bought it for is now no longer a customer you just can't help some people. Glad to see it went straight through the test it had been very well looked after by the previous owner.

Re: Should I buy a Rav4 ?
This will be the last year we have ours sadly. It needs at the very least a new front subframe and a full exhaust system. Our local guy doesn’t think it makes sense financially to spend the money.
We thought it was going in May but with the MOT extensions we'll likely get most of this year out of the old girl.
