Minimum fare around £3 in London I think. I've always used the black cabs and never really had a problem whenever I've been up there. I just expect everything to be ruinously expensive and have rarely been disappointed in that regard.

I would have thought a black cab was an ideal opportunity to launder money.

Good for drug delivery too I'd imagine.

I await the day when the horse-drawn Hansoms and Growlers ply the streets once again. They can't be any bloody slower and at least the emissions can be put to good use.

There was a story in the 1890’s that within 50 years every street in London would be under 6 feet of horse shit, or something. The waste was causing a masi e disposal and public health problem...
