Didn't crash so proof drink driving is fine as long as you go fast enough to not do it for long?

Every chance of a prison sentence for that one tho even without the DD? Always gets me with this sort of thing that you could drive that same car to Germany on the same day and do more than that legally but drive it back here and do the same thing that evening and you're looking at doing a stretch. I'm assuming someones had that one de-limited as shouldn't it top out at 155?

Strikes me as utterly stupid that you can do those speeds safely, yet the punishment is worse than real crimes like robbery or assault etc. The law is so wrong in these cases.

This obsession with speed criminality is nothing new in this country......See also Red Flag Act and Barbara Castle (you remember her - the Minister for Transport who couldn't fucking drive). From a nation that has depended upon the motor vehicle for its Industry and as a tax cow you might be forgiven for expecting a little more tolerance.

If you can't read these I'll find my scanner along with the XP laptop needed to run it. It's that jolly decent chap (pre Sir days) Stirling Moss on why a 70 limit is a daft idea. Also back in the days when car mags wrote something worth reading.

Cheers Hooli.....Gawd, I can remember actually reading that when it was new (I was seven - precocious little cunt) and not understanding every single word, I'll admit. I was more excited about the Toyota 2000GT which to me seemed a real-life Johnny Speed remote-control car which had also just come out.

How do I remember all this shit yet forget the grandkid's birthdays? Who cares.....

Anyone want a cheap 306? I doubt he will have anywhere safe to park that for the next 12 months.

It's incredible that the police apparently think people can do deliveries whilst working from home, making it up as they go along again.

Car trader going to collect car from auction - fine
Vehicle transporter going to to pick up a boat - fine
Transporter going to pick up motorbikes as part of a business again fine.

Don't forget nobody is paying the self employed

The car collecting idiots weren't insured so that should be a legit pull. The boat collection could be legit and the bikes would of been if they hadn't of done a detour. I went down to Exeter the other day to collect some parts about 20 miles down the M5. The police were pulling pretty much every car but they seemed to be only speaking to the drivers as they kept overtaking me and pulling people up then they would go past again. It seems driving a car and having more than one person in it is asking to get pulled. I have got a bloke coming to look at the thunderbird in the morning so we will see how he gets on. I am fairly sure he is a dealer so might be able to blag it with the old bill.
