Re: Crash! Bang! Wallop!
I'm guessing the angle of the bridge versus the road caused it to topple the vehicle?
The big f-off metal bar suggests it's a regular occurrence.

9ft6 box as Eddie says.....Won't fit where an 8ft6 one does. Would imagine it was indeed a glancing right-angled blow. We've a railway arch not far from here catches 'em just like this one. One particular star driver managed to get the high-sided trailer wedged on its side under it last summer.....
There's a great long bar in Rock & Roll heaven.......

Cracking subsidised cafe on their Liverpool depot. Perfect reversing skills need to get onto their loading bays though as their drawbridges are only about 2" narrower than your trailer.

At least they got it refloated.
Once the World's largest refrigerated ship at 13500 tons Runic was doing 17 knots when she struck a reef off Australia in 1961.
Tugs couldn't to pull her off so she's still there if you fancy a project, cat. N if ever I saw one.
