I very nearly joined the Army Cadets at school after seeing them all go off for summer camp in a General Service RL....
There's a great long bar in Rock & Roll heaven.......

Crappy copy of Dodging the Column. The original is available on one of the British Transport Films collections from the BFI.
It might be crappy quality but if you haven't seen it then it is worth a watch.

Hi.
I have been transported in the back of an RL a few times as the "company" I worked for still had them in service around 1980.
I have also had a cab ride in a ex military one belonging to a small circus I helped out on. It carried the tent and some of the seating whilst pulling a drawbar box which was the entrance pay box and carried the rest of the seating and 3 Shetland ponies and then a caravan behind that. Progress was steady.

Hi ...I might be wrong but I won't be.
