Re: Guilty pleasure
I've had a few, a Mk1 Astra, a Astra H estate with the hateful 1.3 CDTi, a Mk1 Combo, a Mk2 Combo with the hateful 1.3 CDTi and a Astra G van which lunched it's engine.
Re: Guilty pleasure
I had an astra G Eco 4 that was pleasant enough but went wrong a lot. All the friction material fell off the front pads on the drive, so it got all new front brakes. Then the starter motor failed. Replacing that was a fuck about and my reward for doing the job was the back brakes pissing fluid out of the cylinders. I gave up and sold it for about £100 to a nice man on the beige who still has it I believe.

I quite like the Manta A frontal styling of the new Vauxhalls.

Re: Guilty pleasure
I must admit to liking vauxhalls. Had a few over the years. Mk3 cavaliers I've had a 1.4 on a H plate. Later years have found they were a rare beast if woefully underpowered. A 1.6 base,1.8 LS auto and a 2.0 GLS.
H plate astra 1.8 sxi
P reg astra 2.0 sport
2 corsa B 1.0 3 pot
Vectra B 1.6 Arctic auto
And also have had 4 vectra c
1.8 LS
1.8 active
1.8 sxi
1.8 elegance.
I have to admit to liking the insignia too. Vectra C onwards the seats were more firm and nowhere near as comfy as the cavalier or even the vec B. Modern vauxhalls,as in no more than 5 years old ive found to be damn uncomfortable and the interiors seem miserable.

Re: Guilty pleasure
My mate might be selling his insignia soon. '61 reg 2.0 diesel with 120k.
He said I could have it for £700.
Would anyone be interested in it?

Sadly it's a year too old to get plated here.
