What's the most trivial reason you've scrapped a car for?

I remember losing my temper changing a fan belt on a 1987 Mk4 Escort 1.6 diesel and weighing it in.

And I threw a perfectly good Mk4 Cortina over the weighbridge just because of a duff starter motor.

Broken spring on a Pluriel. It was the last straw as both my missus and eldest son had lost faith in it due to continual minorish niggles. The interior being covered in mould due to water leaks didn't help either.

I broke a Pluriel for parts after being unable to sell the hateful piece of shit. I made more out of it in bits than I was asking for it whole. It was mot'ed and driving fine when I broke it so the only reason for it going scrap was no one wanted it.

My missus and eldest son loved theirs.
Horses for courses I guess as they also love the camper.

I needed the space on my drive and couldn't be arsed selling it as I was busy, mk4 escort 1.6, there was nothing wrong with it.

I scrapped a mk2 escort ghia 1.6. The engine was blown but it was still driveable. The body was mint with no rust at all and a recent respray.
Could change the engine in an afternoon those days too.

BX diesel for a windscreen.
Maestro for a front hub bearing (I'd loved that car)
Magane Cabriolet for airbag wiring.

I scraped a Volvo 340 because it deserved it. Pile of shite wanted to die & refused to work for more than ten mins.
