Saw this in Ringwood today. Obviously a kitty but not too bad apart from the scribble and colour scheme befitting a Chinese tinplate toy.

Today, in the quest for additions to Mrs Rocker's teddy bear collection, we picked up a 1990s limited edition Mr Woppit by Merrythought - a copy of the bear that survived Donald Campbell's fatal crash.
Very strangely, I saw the original Bluebird Sunbeam on an open trailer heading east on the A27 as we were returning from Sussex. No picture as I was driving but this car....

Also clocked a tidy but not immaculate Jag 420 outside a block of council flats looking a little like an out-take from The Sweeney. It was straddling a section of raised island kerbing.
interesting local fact, Malcolm Campbell first drove that car at Saltburn, when it was still the 350HP Sunbeam (and was still red) in 1922, setting an unofficial world speed record at the time, this been commemorated on one of the mosaic panels at the towns railway station.

Saltburn Sands were very much the epicentre of WLSR attempts back then, first man to crack the ton in Britain - Percy Lambert - tested his Talbot there. Good to see the mural.....

3 memorable spots on Hampshire roads over the weekend.....
Aston DB6
1963 Chevrolet bubble top
R-R Phantom V (Actually this was in Wiltshire and passed by a mural painted for the Queen's Jubilee which also depicted her Phantom. Wish I had got a picture of that....)

Tsk tsk merc, 1963 Chevy bubble top? Do you mean a 61 like what I had? 63 Chevs have a much more normal rear window than a 61. I'll unzip my anorak now.

I don't know if it was real or a replica but I saw a Manta400 on the road today, looked and sounded brilliant. No pics though as I was riding the other way
