Re: Wobland Spottage
I was just about to say that poor old thing probably has a date with the Armco in its future. What a pity.

In a strange way I'd find that worse. I haven't been to watch for years but got fed up of seeing rarities getting absolutely fucked inside the first lap. One notable exception being a PC Cresta estate at Mildenhall a long time ago, that lasted longer than any PC I ever saw raced before or since.

Yeah, I know what you mean, I saw an SM1500 die after the first turn at Matchams once, despite the usual "ah they're all rotten mate" that was in fact a sound and viable car before the VdP took it out.

Probably would, they aren't much cop. Just rarity value.
As I suspected I was right about everything.

Re: Wobland Spottage
It wasn't particularly rotten either, had a look in the pits beforehand and it would have been saveable. However, once they're built and hiabbed that's that..

Since seeing the picture I've been struggling to think of any sort of person who would take on a car like that to preserve and look after.

Were I a rich fella, I'd take that Princess on, respray the lower half (anything other than dirty white), put some Town & Country on the back and smoke it round town until it died. There's not enough of that sort of thing on the roads these days.
