Re: Wobland Spottage
I nearly did.....Bloke two doors down was giving up driving and had a black one like that with about two weeks ticket left on it. Another fella in the street got there before I did (£150 he paid for it) but then the cheeky bastard asked me if I would deliver it to the MOT garage as he had no insurance yet! It sailed through but his insurance still wasn't sorted so I offered to deliver it back to him.
Fucking thing sat on his front grass and rotted after that. He wouldn't sell it to me as there was always somebody else interested and he plainly could not get insurance at a good price (hadn't driven for 10 years or something stupid). It went off to Silverlake about three years ago. 67000 miles and it drove mint. I'm no great fan but it was a decent car for no money and deserved to live a bit longer.

Currently doing a couple of days agency work at the council yard and wasn't expecting to see a Renault Dauphine in the next door yard. Doesn't look too bad but it's clearly been sitting here a while. It deserves better than to be sitting outdoors in South Scotland in my opinion.

Re: Wobland Spottage
Just found out I'll be going back there on Friday and Monday, will try and find out a little more about it. Looked up the registration a couple of days ago and couldn't find anything on the DVLA 's website.

Doesn't look like it has been outside for long or if anything has started being done to it yet. A lot of Renault press and fleet cars had those 1962 Middlesex 4 digit registrations so don't know if it has any history there.....
