I can assure you that riding in shitty weather is pretty depressing because it's your job and you have no choice.Yellowperil wrote: ↑Sat Dec 09, 2023 3:39 pm I took the bike out for a ride this morning, just because I could, pissing with rain, windy as fuck and I had a great time.
Obviously it would be nicerer in the summer, but at least the roads were quiet.
I keep reading on Facebook about people putting their machines away for the winter and I don't understand it.
It's not bravado, motorcycle gear is so good nowadays and good tyres grip even in the wet, why wouldn't you ride all year round?
Ice and snow not withstanding it is perfectly doable.
Two wheels good.

There's nothing like the feeling of cold rain running down the tank and gradually penetrating the crotch seams of the latest ultimate waterproof trousers to make you enjoy* the day.

- I scored very low on the autie test. I’m cheerful, happy, confident, like meeting new people, chatty and largely sociable. What the fuck am I doing on this forum?

Very much this. I’m listening to the rain lashing down outside so very glad I’m not about to climb into my goretex and head off down the dirty dozen (A12) to spend the day playing with the traffic in London.Warren t claim wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2023 10:50 pmI can assure you that riding in shitty weather is pretty depressing because it's your job and you have no choice.Yellowperil wrote: ↑Sat Dec 09, 2023 3:39 pm I took the bike out for a ride this morning, just because I could, pissing with rain, windy as fuck and I had a great time.
