That's a classy bit of design from behind the steering wheel. At least you can see the binnacle unlike it's younger brother the 2008 where the view of the instruments is completely obscured by the steering wheel. I remember topgear or whatever taking the piss at the time. Unbelievable.

If someone can ever pinpoint how that firm lost their way so badly they could earn an awful lot of money I reckon. To go from where they were (plus their history) to turning out the shit they did in so few years must take some doing?

Probably the accountants got too powerful and/ or there were very greedy and short termist senior management.

You can easily wreck a company by cutting costs too much, Boeing is a recent example where it very nearly happened.

Yep, something along those lines I'm sure. My sister's a bean counter with a firm who employs about 500 people and says it's happening there after the son took over and employs people he likes at inflated pay. She's not an accountant but does the payroll etc etc.

Yep.

I still believe that Peugeots ending in 6 were the last good ones. 309 excepted of course.

Everything since has just been shit.

They went from being nice, simple, rugged little cars to overdesigned cack. Like most cars from the past 10 years. If I was forced to pick a brand new car today I honestly don't know where I'd start. Likely the nearest Dacia dealership.

That would be my thinking as well if they did something with towing ability, or import a proper landcruiser from abroad.

The last good Peugeot was the 306. Start there and work backwards.

I'd fucking love another 306.

I had two in a row from 2010-2014. I had a phase 1 XUD turbo 5 door in white. Followed by a phase 3 HDi estate in Moonstone Blue.

CLINTS C5 just shat it's engine and he's just bought a 306. I've not seen it up close yet but he's happy with it so far it seems?
