Quality mingebag motoring.

I saw a mk3 5-door Astra in a hospital multistorey yesterday, presumably a giffer chariot. First I've seen in the wild for a long time.
1976 Triumph Dolomite 1850HL - Field based greenhouse.
1977 Triumph Dolomite 1300 - Lean green oil dripping machine.
1983 Triumph Acclaim L - Japanglish daily runner.

It’s a perfect example of a car that has been used to near extinction - what nutter would try to preserve one beyond its working life? :D

That Astra is truly fucking miserable. I honestly think I'd rather get the bus than be seen in it. I love it

You know what, my OH said something similar. Language was a little more blue though.

I really hate this era Vauxhall. Interiors are so awfully grim and the exteriors are conservative boxes. Reliable and simple, but that's because GM wanted to make them cheap to knock out in large quantity to fleets. Just happened that they used old tech to make it cheap, happened to make it reliable as designed bumps smoothened out over the years.

Encroaching blandness is the scourge of modern motoring and may end up being it's downfall.

I actually quite like the interior - not sure why blue interiors never caught on 😂

The steering wheel is too big for the car though, it’s like driving a bus.

My missus had a 1.4CD as a company car.

It wasn't a patch on the 1.4 Pug 205 it replaced.

I would drive that no bother. I reckon the design of it was due to the drag coefficient. Look at the sleek slippery lines and shape.
Very reliable too, nothing on the fucker to go wrong.
