I got kicked off trademe the NZ version for being a Pom- they said it was due to the high number of scamming cunts (not their exact words) originating in the UK.
We really need to clean up our act as a nation, there are just so many thieves and scammers here.

Try a company called localphone, I used to have a virtual USA number to talk to my bank over there, as online verification wouldn't work for UK numbers.

I did sort it enough to get back in on Leboncoin. I bought a european sim which had to be activated in France. I got it going and found a disused address in France to use for a varification which got it working long enough to get the 2 step varification done. Once I was back in on Leboncoin it lets you turn it off. Stupid thing was the French sim was working in the UK better than my UK sim. It has died now though after 3 months and the number is no longer recognised.
