Re: Wobland Spottage
Yes but how the fuck did it even survive till then?!I had one as a work van and they weren't good 30 years ago.BusmansHoliday wrote: ↑Mon Sep 19, 2022 3:05 pmBecause it's MoT and tax exempt and hasn't been tested for six years. Mind you, there's no mention of corrosion on any previous inspections.Scruffy Bodger wrote: ↑Mon Sep 19, 2022 2:34 pm 20220918_145714.jpg20220918_145728.jpg

Actually that's a good point as I remember driving its predecessor, the J4 for work, and they were really wank. The sherpa was an improvement over that so perhaps somebody went down the same road and kept it, thinking nothing will ever be better.Scruffy Bodger wrote: ↑Mon Sep 19, 2022 5:02 pmYes but how the fuck did it even survive till then?!I had one as a work van and they weren't good 30 years ago.BusmansHoliday wrote: ↑Mon Sep 19, 2022 3:05 pmBecause it's MoT and tax exempt and hasn't been tested for six years. Obviously "care in the community" as they call it today.

My mate's G plate Transit camper is much like that. 1600 Pinto for the powah. Still does the same stuff we do, though and probably will for years.

Parked in residents spaces just behind Regents Park, that W124 is a 300 with cloth and 24k miles. Next time I’m there I might put a note on the windscreen “ Do you a favour M8, save on ULEZ, £1,000 tonite”

Hard to imagine a London bereft of old Mercs. Glad I have so few reasons to go there now.
