For what I paid for it I can get cambelt done but I do believe it's had one already a few years back. Had one owner from 2015 to 2023 I think. I've got it cheap enough compared to the shit on Facebook for 2 or 3 hundred quid more.

No idea for sure but believe it was broken for spares.

New motor update.
2007 Citroen c4 1.4 16v vvt. LX trim so not many toys. Gas leccy windows in the front and mirrors, trip computer but no air con. Bizarre that it's got cruise control and speed limit. Paintwork shagged, lacquer peel on bonnet, wing and roof but interior very clean and tidy.

My mechanic friend checked cambelt and it looked rather tired. Interval is 80 k or 10 years so believe it may be original. He point blank refused to let me go with car until new belt was fitted, knowing my luck and being out of pocket already I don't think he wanted another failure for me.

He said in his 25 years of in the trade he's not seen a belt as bad. There were bits of fibre and rubber at the bottom of the cover too.
Car drives lovely though,it's a bit strange not having to put 20 quid in at beginning of each shift though but it's a pleasant feeling and rather welcome.
