Lovely cars.

I much prefer the styling to the Rover 2000, which just looks awkward to me. Maybe the type of construction and being able to take a gas turbine placed a lot of restrictions on it.

P6 was already in the prototype stage by the time the shell was used for T4, though. I certainly think the de Dion suspension limited the car's boot space which was a bigger problem than perhaps Rover envisaged. Rover and Triumph takes on the 2 litre junior exec market were quite different but it wasn't a sector that was completely understood in 1960.

I found some more of my mate's photos yesterday. Must remember to drop his dad a line, I think there's more if he'll send them to me. These are from 2002 or so to the best of my knowledge, no idea what happened to the cars apart from the Pampas green 1600 which was sold to someone in Scotland for restoring about twelve years ago. I'd lay money none of them are still about now though.
