Waldron Wayfarer? Looks horrible enough to be one of those modern pastiches, but actually a one off 1920s car.- mercrocker

That's a new one on me....I immediately went off to consult the Georgano which I evidently haven't looked at for years judging by the stack of more recently thumbed tomes in front of them. It isn't in there.....
It's a very airy looking thing for it's time, though!

Re: Ever seen a?
I bought 2 Proton Impians. They were a bit underpowered, but by fuck it handled well for a saloon once it was up to speed. Put that down to Lotus haha. Fuel economy was average, but not exactly shit.

Re: Ever seen a?
Funny cos they were all 1.6 litre, both mitsubishi and campro versions, and i used mine as private cabs getting around 33mpg round the doors. Can imagine the auto version getting 25mpg though ETA other markets got larger engine, but not here in the UK

Memory isn't what it used to be, clearly.
25mpg is even fucking worse if they were all 1.6s.
I had a [1.6] Hyundai Stellar that'd do more than that. Minicab favourite, that one.
Even my automatic 305 estate did 30mpg, and that was running an autobox and an autochoke carb.

I saw a Proton Gen-2 pulling in to Coop's car park as I was leaving at the weekend.

Re: Ever seen a?
There was a rover/proton/perodua dealer in Bedlington where I used to live. I used to see them all over. Second hand they were worth fuck all. Late, low mileage cars were next to nowt.
