I thought somebody had restored a Corgi Rocket.....Further investigation reveals it to be an "interpretation" at which point I stopped reading. Damn pretty shape, those, though.

Re: The Latest Occurences
I had one, a 1970 1800E with the injected B20 motor. It was nice, cruised along with overdrive top engaged but it leaked like a sieve, never did find out why. And the steering was heavy plus the heater was stuck on. Mind you it only stood me in 200 quid. It got damaged one icy morning when a nurse returning home after a long shift lost control of her Fiat 900T camper and clobbered it. It wasn't her fault, for some reason my road on the Sarf London council estate was incredibly treacherous, think about six cars were written off that day. After a battle I got the insurance money (plus charged them for, ahem, storage) and kept the car. It still exists, UXC8J, now red and not the nice metallic blue it was originally.

Re: The Latest Occurences
A mate's Dad bought a cow-horn Jensen-assembled one. This would have been around 1972 and it was pretty rough even then. I seem to remember the engine ending up in an Amazon estate but can't remember what happened to rest of it - although I can imagine.

I'm not keeping up, I just had a shock to see that these Axiam coupes now cost 19500 euros. I can't even determine from the company's website how they're propelled; judging by the speed attained by one that lives near here you scoot them along with your feet through a hole in the floor.

No they don't, they're from about 9k yo-yos. That one is a top of the range electric (range starts c. 15k)

Typical, I've maligned the car unfairly. Its hard to determine whats what on the mobile site, but with a closer look I see the base price of a 'no licence' electric car with a top speed of 27.9 mph is only 14899 euros.Eddie Honda wrote: ↑Sun Feb 14, 2021 3:10 pm No they don't, they're from about 9k yo-yos. Fortunately even the 9k basic diesel with similar performance is way beyond my purse.
