Christ, only the Chinese would boast about copying a super-annuated piss-poor Russian lash-up.

When using totally the wrong engine layout to be a copy.
If this thing has the 2wd system fitted too, it'd be a fun winter 'car'.

I didn't know they built Escort pickups and its about time this unloved thread had a poke. Its on ebay so pedants might feel it belongs in the finds dept. Fucking sue me then.
Whatever, its a handsome thing.

This talk of Russo-Chinese products reminded me of these cars.
Photo nabbed from internet. I'll have to dig out the Motor magazine I have with the models for the top brass.

I had no idea they did Escrote pickups either, I'm surprised they felt the need with the P100 filling that role.

Re: What the Dickens is that?
What a bloody beast that would have been! It was something to do with Gordon Keeble - Jim Keeble had a couple of engineering shops around the South after the GK.1 finished - note there are (or should not be) any references to Vauxhall on the car, I think it may have had G-K or just Black Prince badging and I don't actually think any more cars were made after this demo prototype....
