way back in may 2020, after a month of occupying the days of lockdown with domestic diy, I decided that I needed a bit of a project to keep busy.
a local facebook ad for a spears / reapers mk1 mx5 caught my attention and I went to have a look
a deal was done and the next day, this arrived on my drive
looks not too bad from that angle but closer examination showed this one wasn't going to see another mot
this had a clean pass only a year ago
the future didn't look good for this one

the manky subframes were stripped and wire wheeled - two days sweating in a dusty garage was no fun but the results were worth it
then the knackered bushes needed to come out - @paulplom's blowtorch made short (but very stinky) work of that
