I used to live in Corringham and there was often a lorry on its side at that roundabout. It’s a bit off camber so probably easily done. (I’m speaking from a position of ignorance here, I’ve never driven anything bigger than a seven and a half tonner.)

Re: Crash! Bang! Wallop!
Maybe this should be in stupid questions but if a van is overloaded by, say, 100% on a regular basis then doesn't the actual structure start to fail?

Re: Crash! Bang! Wallop!
Depends on the Van I guess -some of them are based on mechanicals that can take a higher load in other versions/markets, and there's a margin for error.
Alarmingly, that bloke I knew who was a helicopter pilot said he got to know which of those he could get away with flying over the allowed weight

According to the tweet below (quoted on the post here), the driver hadn't done up the twistlocks at the front that fasten the container to the trailer - certainly seems like an error I would make (I keep leaving the oven on).brandersnatch wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2020 3:00 pm I used to live in Corringham and there was often a lorry on its side at that roundabout.
