Re: EBay Finds
I'll be selling my scrapper once I've finished stripping it. It will be sold as a rolling shell, very much a major project but it is a 1961 or 1962 2 door saloon with pull starter so one of the best model years in my opinion.

Thankyou, but with advancing years I'm done with restorations, it would be such an arse to kick the bucket just as I'm putting the finishing touches. 2 doors the one I want though.
The diesel Bantam seller claims 180 mpg, I seriously doubt anyone has actually ridden it that far though.

Re: EBay Finds
In my head they might have been imported as a petrols and a diesel thrown in during the rebuild.
Having googled, they did,

but it was fucking shite, so these are the slightly less shite beasts I remembered:

No problem cros, I don't blame you, they are indeed a ball-ache. Plenty of good ones out there for you. Any advice freely given and I'm sure Mercrocker will do too.

Yep, and it looks like Cros has already heeded the first bit of advice I would have given.....Get a traveller or a 2 door. Four door and van front doors are no place for creaky old gits like us - too bloody narrow. Forget rear seat passengers as well and get those front seats where you need 'em.....
There's a great long bar in Rock & Roll heaven.......

Re: EBay Finds
These Vivas are bloody handsome cars in 2-door form, but most small cars look better with 2.
