Two smoke fumes will kill the plague virus.Arthur Foxhake wrote: ↑Thu Aug 13, 2020 6:36 amTrue enough but I have no time to do it.
I'm just going to send it away to a 2 stroke specialist, pay the money and get a bit of peace of mind.
I'll be ringing the original engine workers today to see what the story is, I've googled them and they seem to be legit.
On the upside, I should have a decent bike for next summer. If plague doesn't get me.
Two wheels good.

It's the engine that's meant to be ring(adingding)ing.Arthur Foxhake wrote: ↑Thu Aug 13, 2020 6:36 am

Re: Two wheels good.
I got told off by a pillion on friday evening, there is a lovely tightening left off the M62 roundabout to the A19 when heading north. It's a great one to play one, I didn't think a pillion would mean pegs down though....
She's a touch nervous so not the happiest at such things, I'd best be more careful next time lol

What's the low down on Kwak GT 750 s of early 90s vintage?
One has come up for sale locally and I fancy it.

Was she a heavy bird? Might explain the bike scraping its ass on the corners.Hooli wrote: ↑Sun Aug 16, 2020 1:38 pm I got told off by a pillion on friday evening, there is a lovely tightening left off the M62 roundabout to the A19 when heading north. Re: Two wheels good.
Ideal despatch tool
Get a Rickman Trident fairing on it and a couple of panniers plus a top case on it.
They'll go on a long long time those engines. The only thing shit I remember is steel rear mudguards/light bracket and the wiring going black.

Re: Two wheels good.
Could use it for my daily commute now that I'm down to a transit tipper as my only working vehicle. Might have to drag the allegro out the shed.

Re: Two wheels good.
Just check the underside of the frame tube just above where the downpipes go horizontal. I've found grot there on a couple of 550s.
High 40s to the gallon, 24 litres tank and the front inner brake pads don't drop out like a 550 when the pads are down to the backing. Should be cheap as chips to insure.

I know that bit of black paint on the front mudguard.
It was there when I had it.
That bike has already done its turn at despatching.
Was suffering from low oil pressure when I sold about 5 years ago.
