Yes it was designed by a Greek who took all his knowledge and inspiration from many years of Greek automotive history

Re: EBay Finds
<pedant> If you're talking about Issigonis, it's more complicated than than that. His parents were British subjects and he was born in what is now Izmir in Turkey (and was in Turkey at the time although it's changed hands a few times). He was a first cousin once removed to Bernd Pischetsrieder on his Mum's side.
</pedant>
So, as usual, I blame the Germans for everything as well as highly doubting Issigonis had anything to do with that dashboard.

Re: EBay Finds
I can tell you, that after extensive scientific research that if a 12 year old and his 10 year old brother bounce on the open boot lid lid of a Hydrolastic Mini driven at speed up a bumpy lane , they can make the front wheels leave the ground , making a screeching noise that their mother can hear from the house. Thus getting their father a bollocking, his argument that we were holding on to the roof rack, was no defence apparently. Pretty sure he only let us do it when he was pissed though, so that’s OK.

Modern stuff seems to need broken springs replacing every five minutes.
Ride is excellent.

Re: EBay Finds
I do like a nice early Mister Two - my mate had one back in the day and it was a very nice motor.
I have my doubts about this one however, I suspect the "lumpy" engine is caused by OMGHGF not the "chock"

Re: EBay Finds
These were utterly shit new and I very much doubt that age has done them any favours.
