What did you do today?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Yesterday - AMC wiring - the indicator switch appears to be unique to the RHD models and is undocumented anywhere I can find on the internet.
Neither the 67 or 68 Factory Service manuals has the correct wiring colours listed in the wiring diagram.

Today - Wiper blades on the ZTT, then a few minutes working out the actual wiring for the indicators.
Since I changed the bootlid over and the "new" bootlid doesn't have amber indicators fitted I have decided to revert to the "proper" US setup of red rear indicators - I know no-one in the UK will recognise these, and it's not strictly legal (only for pre-65 and mine is 68) but considering the amount of totally egregious number plates, illegal tinted glass and even illegal tyres I see every day I am going to take a chance. Also given coppers have no idea what the law is I reckon I can bluff may way out of it in the extremely unlikely chance of ever seeing a copper again.

(Airbag light is on for those that are looking at the wrong thing. SERV means mildly broken on french stuff, not it needs a service. STOP means more broken.)

Toggled the passenger airbag deactivation switch (for if you have a child seat in the front seat) and the light went out.

Everyone was thinking it was the under seat connector. Definitely shows it's worth reading the codes before doing work.

I have red rear indicators using the stop lamp filament on my Morris. They were fitted from 1961-64. I have not noticed anyone behaving as if they've failed to understand them. A couple of other cars had a similar system, others used amber rear but white front flashers like the Humber.

It's so rare to see anyone pay attention to indicators I doubt you'd notice if anyone didn't understand them.
