Re: What did you do today?
Autodata books were really handy back in the day. Now it is all computer based and you have to keep paying the subscription or you lose the lot. It is a right rip off as you only used to buy a book every 3 or 4 years at about 70 quid each now it costs near that a month the robbing bastards.

Re: What did you do today?
The autodata books will be going on the shelf. There's manuals covering abs, electrics, airbags and all sorts do useful to keep. There's an not book from '93 and some other things. Will have a look tomorrow when I'm back home. Can't find anything out about the magazine things, so might be rare but probably worthless.

It's madness here as the caravan parks and B and Bs are now open.
Two months ago I could look out of the window and see a small group of deer sauntering down the High Street. It's gone from 28 Days Later to Blade Runner from a traffic point of view.

Re: What did you do today?
I definitely preferred the lockdown. Never mind we can have another one soon. In other news I have fended off quite a few stupid emails about the Merc. It's on Ebay classified thank god not the auction format. I'm trying to clear a lockup and hand it back, the parts selling has gone well - bloke drove up from Gloucestershire for a pair of A40 wheels this morning. I'm now considering shoving the Merc in there and keeping it - the garage rent is about twice the road tax but I'm fucked if I'm going to give it away.
There's a great long bar in Rock & Roll heaven.......

Lay on the sofa and groaned... lots.
Got up about 5:00 (i.e. an hour ago) and fed the dogs all the goodies I'd bought to have for my dinner. I am so sick of being, er, sick it's extremely tedious.

I’ve spent the day fitting this to the red peril it’s off a Yaris t-sport and looks better than the standard wheel
I’ve also fitted my freshly painted wing and bonnet to the YRV

Re: What did you do today?
On a local Classic Car web page a request was placed at short notice inviting older cars to partake in a display for the residents of a Care Home. The residents had been at the home without many visitors due to the current pandemic, so the carers organised a day where they could be involved in something which could bring back memories and also liven their spirits.
With the Farina being one of the most recognisable British cars of the 1960's I volunteered to bring my 1964 A60 Cambridge and after a word with a mate the 1950's were represented with his very nice 1956 A40. We were welcomed with open arms by the staff at the home and brought many smiles and much nostalgia to the residents with plenty of photos of them taken with both cars during the couple of hours we were there.

Re: What did you do today?
That was a nice gesture, must have been pretty awful being stuck in there and unable to see family whilst dozens of different staff members come and go every day.
