Great little cars, I miss mine. I bought a knacker for spares and sold it at a profit to someone who wanted the engine for a kit car.

There is a chap near Aberystwyth who breaks them. Has a load of them in his field. He may buy the whole thing?

The engine and box in this is destined for a project. I thought I'd try and sell a few of the bits to see if I can get a few quid for doing it? I think that's the one who was apparently trying to buy this one for pennies?

The one who had the Justy? He's been quiet for a long time?

I sold him a Fuego Turbo cheap as he gave it all the bull shit how he always wanted one. He then went on to flip it for a lot more than I sold it for. That will teach me for selling at cost to do someone a favor.

I've always fancied one of those, a teacher at secondary school had one for years. There must be virtually none left, I can't remember seeing even a Fuego for what must be 20 years? Station has asked after the Justy in the past as he genuinely seemed to like the car. I seem to remember there were a few surprises that he could have mentioned though so not the straightest of sellers...

Going back to the 504, I had a look at it yesterday. Rather than keep it original, why don't you replace those U sections with box? Be stronger, easier and cheaper to obtain.

The trouble with that idea is that all the spring hangers mount off it. It measures 90mmx65mm external which isn't exactly anywhere near an off the shelf item. I was hoping to hear from the bloke at the sheet metal place at the end of this week but sadly that hasn't happened. I'll pop down there and see if he's done it at the start of next week. Mikey's trying to keep up to date with costs at the mo so works on stop currently, he's on about removing the rust from the chassis himself and buying a grinder. That'll be an interesting learning curve with a cup brush...
