Socially distanced rather than anti-socially distant today. Only 100 miles or so but it was good to get out. I've confirmed my 14 is running properly again too, it's back up to 70-75miles before the first bar goes on the fuel gauge. When it'd been drinking without good reason it was struggling to do 50 miles on that much.

Alloy rear swing arm must be off a later bike? I had a 1979 DT250 35 years ago.

I need to get myself a trailie or trials. Sellers remorse kicking in after selling this too cheap last week.

IIRC the monoshock rear end was fitted from the mid-70s, it was one of the first trail bikes to have one. If not the first.

I'm going to regret asking this, but how much did you let the GS650 GT go for?

The CB125T was a great bike but became notorious for having a saggy arse.

It was a great steed. Heavy old hector for a 125 though. My cm125 was heavy too but lower centre of gravity. Thinking about it though my mz Saxon was heavy,tall and turning circle of the titanic.

Yep, monoshock rear end, but I'm sure they had tubular steel swing arms at that vintage.

The GS650 went for £600.

I had loads of sub-250 cc bikes from the 1970s and 1980s back in the days of Rider Policies, they were free or cheap. One of my favourites was a 1973 Kawasaki G7, 2-stroke 100 cc disc valve jobbie with a 3-speed box.

I used to do them up & sell them with a fresh MOT, self-funding hobby.

Ah yeah, I think you're right about the swingarm.

£600 for the GT isn't all that bad tbh, I'd have bawled my eyes out if it had gone for £300 though.
