Trike has snapped the alternator adjuster bracket. Joys of having a rat trike is things like this can be done.

Nope. When i fitted a new belt 18 months or so ago it was slightly too long and was towards end of tensioner anyway. No explanation on why it snapped though.

That's true. I brazed a snapped Calibra fuel sender pipe for a mate about 10 years ago, it's still going strong.
