Re: EBay Finds
That's some air brake......What a cracking, lovely thing, though. Well worth that sort of money and hopefully well-enough appreciated to be left the fuck alone.

This is quite a cheerful little thing......Doesn't seem dear compared to what folk appear to ask these days. Mind you, they were £75 a ton with a full ticket in my day. Seems nicely unmolested too, these largely escape the gruntfuttocks who fuck Minors up.

Just needs a set of headlight peaks to finish it off.
What engine did they put in the Farina? The venerable b-series?

Ah...unless you mean actual Farina rather than A40 Farina....In which case 1489cc / 1622cc B Series and of course the big C Series variants.

Re: EBay Finds
For some queer reason they're very aerodynamic. The later pictured one lost some quaintness but some have hatchbacks and gained a brake cylinder for each rear wheel instead of sharing just the one.mercrocker wrote: ↑Thu Apr 02, 2020 4:39 pm This is quite a cheerful little thing......Doesn't seem dear compared to what folk appear to ask these days. I never had a problem with this feature on an A35, but the sight of the flimsy mechanism with the hydraulics dangling in mid air never filled me with confidence.

Re: EBay Finds
My A35 had good stopping powers, I still hate bastard in-line brake light swtiches, though.

Here is a nice piece of post-apocalyptic transport, ideal for illicit summer evening pub jaunts in Lockdown. Those headlamp beams will hardly likely give the game away....
