Pulled the SRS module.

Tested the pieces I thought would be bad; no. Those were good, looks like the microcontroller has gone bad.

Put it back together, same error. Ordered another module for $29 off eBay.

Added a pint of oil tonight, after 4500 miles it was on min.

Replacement SRS module arrived.

Pulled the dash out again. Broke more plastic.

Fitted the new module.

Plugged in the OBD2 and interrogated the restraints system.

That now means no more airbag light while I'm driving. Much better.
