No idea, I've only ever taken plates off more modern things that were on the roadThe Reverend Bluejeans wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2020 8:49 pm I sold the scrap shell of a BMW last year, untaxed since 1995. The plate was off it in a month.

It really is a useful little car, it's got me wanting a better onefried onions wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2020 6:22 pm Excellent CLINT, good write up and photos. This Standard must have been unique in that it is a 4 door small estate car. I cannot think of any other British cars of that type available at the time.

MOTs by phone and tax it, never bother making an appointment if they ask to see if before the transfer at a guess. The Reverend Bluejeans wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2020 8:49 pm I sold the scrap shell of a BMW last year, untaxed since 1995. The plate was off it in a month.

Here have some more photos. It is now at my place with the rest of my cars
It's now got a proper list on it that I don't remember being there!
I did wonder why the doors catch on the top of the sills, having looked underneath it's been lifted badly with a fork lift truck
Lots of rust
And some great bodges.
But I'm saving the best one for lastOMG U OK HUN?

Old enough to declare MOT exempt? I'd assume you could plate rape it once that's done. The Reverend Bluejeans wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2020 8:49 pm I sold the scrap shell of a BMW last year, untaxed since 1995. The plate was off it in a month.

No idea. At a guess, you can probably still get sills but nothing else. This car is too far gone anyway.

Haven't taken any, oddly! Will do tomorrow. In the meantime, have a look at the badge. It's a lovely old thing Oh and I found this period accessory inside And this tail light. Any idea what that is off? Free to anyone who wants it.
