I really love these and wanted one back in the 80's. If it were in Europe I might of been tempted to put a bid in.

As much as I would love to do that the frogs will charge me tax on it exporting to the EU. One of the "benefits" of Brexit which I actually voted for !!! If we had a fucking government that actually tried to get a decent deal for us it wouldn't of been so bad, but the cunts either left or right don't actually care about the country so fucked us all over.

Thinking outside the box...Northern Ireland is both in and out the EU, a kind of Schrödinger's cat.

Since the Windsor Framework agreement, it's easier to move cars between GB <> NI. If it's moved from GB to NI correctly and spends a bit of time privately registered in NI and has a MoT there and other evidence of use for a reasonable period, then it gets a duty free and VAT free pass into the Republic. €200 registration tax and it wouldn't be clobbered going to anywhere else in the EU.

It just reminded me of one of these supposed Corvette models......

Things like this baffle me....It obviously cost money to build and clearly is expected to extract a certain sum from somebody but Whhyyy? Any money it is "worth" would surely be better spent on a proper car that looked like a proper car.

I'd sooner rock a beat-up old 924/944 than be seen in that thing.

That 917 abortion has been bid to 10k. Someone is seriously deluded to pay that for it. It looks bugger all like a 917 except maybe from the front if you squint. Then the real icing on the cake is a fucking 1.5 Beetle engine, about as far away from a 917 as you can get really.

Picture just so no one misses out on it's "beauty" They weren't exactly pretty but the later long tails weren't too bad. The is a short from 1970 which is what that abortion is supposed to look like.

The real deal must be worth a mint . There was a Gulf one at Brands Hatch, doing demos , but in the paddock , it was double fenced, and a constant security guy bollocking people getting to close to the fence .. Chevrons are prettier.
