Two wheels good.

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Fussake, does anybody bother terrorising Grandma's these days?
Not me. I'm too busy biting the heads off of chickens.

That is a shitter, i hope he mends quickly.
One of my friends shattered his shoulder a few weeks ago and as he is now 69 years old, i doubt if he will ride again.
A garage full of some lovely old Triumphs, vintage motocross bikes and even two pukka speedway machines as well.
Obviously being a good friend and a nice person i have offered to ride them all regularly for him, i am good like that...

Bit underwhelmed with it to be honest. Tall and heavy, with none of the Guzzi rocking when you blip the throttle. My V1200 Sport's lovely engine shake could mix a cocktail.

Maybe with just 130kms on the clock, it was a bit tight. Too much info on the instruments, too many different rider modes (which, for once, I could tell apart). Handled ok on the test route, which was twisty and a road I have ridden not so long ago.

TL:DR I'm sticking with my NC750

I had an identical 'Blade some years ago, and now it has caused me to hanker for another

Funny how the CBX is relatively cheap compared to a CB750 from a year earlier.

Anyway in other news son is grumpy that the RS50 still isn't running right so has talked me into buying something he has found that's on the road, enter an Lexmoto ZSX-R 125.
I took it out for a test ride and told him it was shit, twice the weight of the RS50 and only a shade more power. Needless to say we came home with it.
It was £350 for a 2016 model and had done 8000 miles, it's not (really) that bad, have given it a service today and set the valve clearances, top end is far better engineered than an 80s CB125, it's even got roller rockers! Busy removing teenage go faster bits and need to order a quieter can with a proper baffle as the one on it is just going to attract the wrong sort of attention.
Now we have gone through the wiring and cleaned connections everything works and luckily pattern parts are very cheap, new front brake master cylinder was £12, last owner obviously dropped it and broke the lever mount as well as snapped the end off the lever.

I scored very low on the autie test. I’m cheerful, happy, confident, like meeting new people, chatty and largely sociable. What the fuck am I doing on this forum?

It doesn’t only come out on sunny days. On my way to the White Lion in Egham for the HDRCGB 75th anniversary photo shoot. Recreating a photo taken at the first meeting.
