Re: Found pics
Based on Merc’s post I had a look at Solido’s caravan gift sets . Alas no Renaults just 504 and CX .
When I was a kid I was always fascinated by how basic and flimsy French and Dutch caravans looked, but I’m sure last summer on the Autoroute those very same 70’s caravans were still trundling along towards The Med, just behind horrible little Citroen SUVs not R16s and DSs.
Plus of course that popular French caravan tug, the Alfa 2600 Sprint Bertone Coupe !When I was a kid I was always fascinated by how basic and flimsy French and Dutch caravans looked, but I’m sure last summer on the Autoroute those very same 70’s caravans were still trundling along towards The Med, just behind horrible little Citroen SUVs not R16s and DSs.

Re: Found pics
What a lovely photo of my old home town, Eltham in that there Sarf East London. The garage is Cliftons which was a BMC dealership, they had another petrol station just down the road on a roundabout on the South Circular. I think it's still known locally as the Cliftons roundabout. The one in the photo is now a Nissan dealership or was, ain't been there in a while. They used to tow in wrecked cars and my uncle's Super Snipe ended up in the workshop along with the Mk3 Zephyr that had hit it head on, the driver was apparently trying to commit suicide by ramming another car. Apparently he survived the not really an accident.

Re: Found pics
I've got an idea in the back of my head about a chain final drive in them too, not sure that's correct though.

Jay Leno has a Toronado and made a vid with the designer.
His has been converted to rwd. Apparently the '66 had drum brakes on the front.
