I concur that building a 2 door PA is indeed a bugger, a friend built one with a Chevy small block years ago, it was quite involved. Obviously better to buy a '58 Belair although bearing in mind that I owned four '58's I might* be a tad biased. There was one quite famous Mk2 Jag with flares etc back in the 70s called 'Tom the Peeper', it was from Essex, I think the Grays/Thurrock area. I knew the owner and later sold him a Chevy straight six and three speed manual box when he had seen the light and bought a '55 Chevy. I think he is no longer with us though.mercrocker wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 5:30 pm There have been one or two 2 door PA conversions, must be a bugger of a job. Maybe best to buy a '58 Belair or Studebaker Champion in the first place?! That Wolfie'd Jag reminds me of one that was in Custard Cart or similar back in the Seventies. Flared out like that one, I have an idea it was called the "Mulsanne" before of course the Bentley came out.

Re: Found pics
Strangely, I've never liked flared arches on MK2's or Wolfrace wheels for that matter. Coombes arches and wider spoked wheels, yes indeed!

Yeah I am not a fan of bubble arches and Wolfies but did find that Jag strangely nostalgic.....
There's a great long bar in Rock & Roll heaven.......

Re: Found pics
I have never liked those Vauxhalls, they remind me of the day when I got lost at the seaside (I was but a tiny Xtriple) and I got marched around the carpark looking for my parent's car and they were everywhere!
