What did you do today?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

New ITV manual v 7.7.0 (20th May 2023) that's why.

Previous version 7.6.2 is dated 9th January 2021.

The police in this town have effectively closed three 2nd hand car sales places around here, as the businesses were selling clocked cars.
Maybe the ITV showed differences between ECU mileage and odometer mileage, and this was reported to the police. But that's just my suspicious mind working.
I’m sure a competent mileage adjusting technician makes sure everything, including running hours in the ecu tally up. Probably, allegedly…

Scrapped spare van in. Made 147 quid. I paid 300 for it but I've got rear doors, front doors, bonnet, boot and all glass as well as a spare gearbox from it it's certainly made sense. The sliding door I needed was 120 quid on eBay alone. I've also got a full length roof rack off of it which is quite rare these days and fetch at least 80-100 alone.

I'd love to have another Doblo for spares. But getting anything like what you got for £300 will be well north of £1k here.

In all fairness it was advertised at 550. I've still got some camper stuff out of it I need to sell off. I offered 300 and was going to walk if it was a no deal. My van as it is with MOT is probably worth north of a grand too.

We went to have a look at something fairly cheap and relatively local. It didn't come home with us but with a little time and a few quid spent it'll be a lovely old thing for someone.

Nearly took the front off a Merc convertible this afternoon that the elderly driver, with the top down and wind in his long hair propped out from the side street so he could see what was approaching.

Didn't notice any dogs in it, or were they hiding @xtriple !!!!!

If the Mercedes was popping out from Beracha (spelling?) road about 2:30 then that was me. Bella was on the front seat while Chester was at home fast asleep in the sunshine. Why you no toot or wave or summat? Have I upset you...again!?

After over 80 messages, both my scrap vehicles have been sold. Barely got over scrap value for them so definitely not worth the hassle.

Some prospective new owners now claiming they would have paid the full asking and acting all annoyed that I didn't wait while they haggled and procrastinated without even coming to see them.

The transit has been paid for but is still to be dragged off the drive. The new owner thinks he's going to get it going and drive it home despite me saying it will have to be trailered/recovered. Good luck with that.
