My brother found some old photos whilst sorting stuff out prior to a house move.

My dad's new Mk3 Cortina 1600L. I did the specification: red, 2-door, sports wheels, radio. Never saw another one like it.

My '63 Galaxie sedan, not a bad buy for 200 quid. Had 390ci V8 power.

Little brother posing in front of dad's Mk3 Zephyr 4 circa 1967/8. I bought dad the sporty spotlight cover for his birthday present.

The year the Bromley pageant of Motoring was held in Danson Park Welling as the Bromley site was unavailable. Handy as I lived about half a mile away. My parents in front of my Impala

What great pics.....It is nice that they met the Impala, adds to the attachment of long-term ownership. My Dad managed to fit in my Minor during his last over and we took them all over the place in the T25 on their previous holidays here, in fact my old man asked about it a month or two before he died.

I remember in the 70's riders put hi viz covers on their motorbike headlights to make them more visible. I know that as I put one on my Goldwing.

This was way before switching your headlight on was thought of...

Sorry, been out rocking but yes you have got it now anyway.....London Motor Show car too I believe (one of the first Earls Court Shows). Our local scrappy had a couple festering in old Nissen huts but they were the more common RHD versions.

That 4th pic of Drum's.....Great shot of the Subaru there. 7th frame there is a Marina which is still on DVLA but untaxed for some 35 years. Long way from home that one, I reckon it came from Wadham Stringer in Southampton, certainly a local reg here anyway....
