I think it looks quite good actually, (visually not rot wise), real shame it's lost its original plate as it just becomes a bit less special. Obviously if it had the structural integrity of cornflakes the plate is irrelevant.

All the panels are available. Even complete shells aren't as ludicrous like BMH ones are.

If anyone is mad enough to want me to take a look it is just over the road from me and I can go have a look.

I'd love it but simply not for me as far too many cars and not enough time. I really need to get my existing projects done and on the road.

You have to love an optimistic seller, the tag line reads
"CHEVROLET NOMAD JEEP J59 2.0 WILLYS STYLE SOFT TOP (1976)"

Image

I dont see much actual Jeep here, must be a kit car based on some 4x4, perhaps thats what a Chevrolet Nomad is ?
Image

So thats a No for 4x4 but has promise for a smooth ride, no idea about the chromed thing though.
This picture was part of a calender shoot featuring Shelby McChebsworth https://www.ebay.com/itm/134839944675

Might be a well thought out kit, what does it look like up close ?
Image
Hard to tell if that is paint or an even layer of corrosion.

It appears to be South African plated, Durban from the ND so nice and Coastal
Image

It has a hood to keep the rain off a bit
Image

Its a fresh out of a shipping container, on SA plates, yet to be registered in Ireland on a 1950's estate chassis with a 2 litre Toyota engine and a softtop that looks like it was sewn together in the dark, by Jeremy Clarkson.

"This car is sold as advertised, South African
import a rare RHD , It will be sold
with HMRC NOVA CUSTOMS/DVLA
CERTIFICATE for the new owner to register in
their name. This car is in Northern Ireland Co.
Fermanagh,"

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/375264621614

Also selling a very shiny T2 van......

What I did find while trying to locate the manufacturer of the kit was this link, an absolute time sponge of random kit cars and self built death traps from around the world.

That 'Jeep' looks very like a Jago, the company was based somewhere near Chichester I think, I'm sure I used to see one on a shipping container when driving past. Most were built on Ford running gear as far as I recall, often M2 Escorts back when they were cheap.

The T2 seems to be a bastard cross between a split, pre 67, and a later one.

I think it is actually a bay with the rounded back end of a split.....

I passed one on the M27 a few summers ago and was convinced I was going to see a split screen but it wasn't!

The guy who works on my T2 had one in last year.
They're Brazilian and quite a few were made.
Barefoot will know more.

(They still burst into flame of course)
