The standard DS420 were based on the MK 10 floor pan, so even though my MK X was ancient, lots of parts were still available as the DS420 was still current.

Bit of shame that Daimler....Ostensibly created to both reflect a still-born Jaguar-Daimler idea and also evoke the lovely Hooper Empress line cars, it has instead been sent down the Pimp's Roller route which does little for it.

I was a bit bored yesterday so browsing eBay, I found an IT490... I was sorely tempted. Then I remembered that I would never be able to kick the sod over, so not a lot of use really.

Did they not have the auto decompressor that the earlier big YZs used to have?

Nah not for me as the costs of importing have gone through the roof the last couple of years I have decided not to do it any more. It took 2 months to sort out the paperwork on the Hotchkiss.
Anyway it seems the ex HMC Mulsanne turbo has resurfaced with a trader. The description is total bollocks and the price really is a pisstake unless some serious work has been done. It always looked good on paper but when you got down to it the car was a total dog. Now up for just shy of £9k
