No. Give me an Armstrong any day. They were genuine 100 MPH cars. In any case, you're in one camp or another. I appreciate Jaguars but cannot enthuse about them like I can the Sphinxes. Same with the Humber, which I've always loved, and will never own a Rover. Incidentally the engines of the Series Super Snipes were designed and manufactured by Armstrong Siddeley on behalf of Humber at their Burlington Works, I guess I'm a sucker for cars that are a little bit different and shunned by the masses, for good reason.

Reality is so much multilayered, it would indeed justify a thread along the lines of the headlight one.
I just fear it will be wasted, considering what little appreciation exists in the face of such uneducated popular folklore awash with a complete suppression of hard facts.
