I've drove a couple of American cars. One was my mate's Starsky and Hutch Grand Torino. Everything was triple over assisted to what you get here. You could spin the steering wheel with your little finger while parked. Neil's General Lee was the same.
Cool as fuck though.

My Doblo has now settled down after the issues following the "straight forward" battery change.

It definately runs a lot, lot smoother and quieter. So maybe the ECU has sorted it's self out.

I had to replace the 91T rated tyres for 95T, as it won't pass the ITV with the 91T's on it. I have really been surprised at being able to notice the ride being that bit harder now. Hope they sort themselves out as the ECU seems to have done.

I'd love an old American car or truck. It's just I don't have the undercover storage for one though due to their size.

They do sit outside well, so long as all the drain points are kept clear.

Unless you get the full cab long bed version, most American pick-ups from the 60's and 70"s are no worse to park than a Transit.

As the Jag has continued to behave itself, I thought I'd do the unthinkable and wash the old girl. By heck, she's a big old lass! But, she does look lovely when clean, also washed the merc (100-foot hosepipe is for WINNERS!) and decided that was enough for the day and retired indoors to watch TopGear from 2004.

Vorderman was the star in a reasonably priced car, she was a great-looking lady (and very knowledgeable, schooled Clarkson about Superchargers) before she went bloody mad on the cosmetic surgery.

Fitted central locking to the c1 over the last week. How'd have thought a 2010 car wouldn't have any form of central locking fitted. Parts for c1's are cheap of fleabay so picked up two door harness, the correct door latches complete with solenoids for 30 quid. Already had a chinky remote locking kit in stock. Swapped out the latches, routed all the proper harnesses in and wired up the remote kit and bingo central locking. Going to wire in a little buzzer so you get confirmation of the doors locking as it's very quiet. Easier to do that hopefully than make it flash the indicators. Pretty chuffed as it all looks factory. Should have just bought a better spec one and saved the hassle. But for 60 quid I now have leather and suede seats and remote locking fitted.

They really aren't that big unless you go full sized or but a dual wheel pickup.
How about an Aussie, RHD, big engines and fits in a normal parking space. Obviously don't take it to Lincolnshire as the roads mean they just spin off them....

Bit of mini fettling for me, group 2 arches, new wheels and tyres, trim and mirrors, carb rebuild is ongoing, hopefully i can tame the 1430 to be somewhat streetable, although i think it really needs a slightly less lairy cam

Seems the Chrysler oil leak is fixed, went to Stockport and back this afternoon , a round trip of 300 miles and it behaved perfectly, the average mpg has even gone up to 34mpg.
The trip to Coronation St Land was to look at an e92 325i Coupethat daughter No1 had found on a BMW forum for Daughter No4. We’ve been looking for about 3 weeks at e9x saloons and coupes, there are without doubt the worst cars and sellers I’ve ever encountered. She had just about given up on finding a decent one for her £3,500 budget when her sister saw a post on the e90 forum about a member buying a 435i and thinking about selling his pride and joy 325 Coupe, she jumped in with a PM before he’d even done an advert, we shot up there and gave him £2000 before he changed his mind. Picking it up on Saturday when he gets his new car.

He’s a bit obsessive and done lots of shit to it over his 7 year ownership that didn’t really need doing, he’s sent my older daughter a step by step guide on how to re route the gear selector wiring on her 330i, just in case hers fails.
Bit like a Northern SiC. Perfect bloke to buy an old car off, I suppose.
