Two wheels good.

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Aye I recall a FJ12 as bloody big as well. Still it's worth a try if they've always wanted one.

I'll put it here as it's bikey.

My mate Nic passed her theory today, on the third try. She's a damn good rider so that was I reckon the most difficult bit for her to get her full licence. She might end up using/buying my Hornet once passed too.

I scored very low on the autie test. I’m cheerful, happy, confident, like meeting new people, chatty and largely sociable. What the fuck am I doing on this forum?

As someone passed their DAS on the 27th Jan years ago, I totally agree that all the best riders learn in winter

She's the one with the CBF125 I fixed after she crashed on ice, so is out there every day to & from work anyway.

well i too thought it was big machine too, o/h says it is lighter than the softail, which is a hefty machine.

it is apparently one that they have always wanted. this one is i think a 91 (H?)

and while it may need a lower seat. o/h been 5' 7" ish, well shorter than me.

we will see

Most things are lighter then HDs, including bikes carved from depleted uranium. It's how high they carry the weight that matters, but good luck to them with it. It's the ideal time of year to try as if they don't like it then they can sell it on in early summer when everyone is buying bikes.

ah now tere is an idea which we'd not thought about. the plan was basically to get said machine and put it away until the better weather.

the o/h is a proper fair weather biker, but a few runs out on the FJ might be a good idea, if just to get a feel for the bike.

I've said it before but R6s really only used to feel like a 250 when it came over moving them about the showroom, center of gravity must have been really low.
Unlike my Paris Dakar style XL600 which turned into a top heavy nightmare if you filled it up with fuel due to the sodding great big tank.

I have managed to buy a rack and top box for the VFR.
I must be getting old because this has made me happy.
Due to problems with the campervan, the VFR is my only transport for the time being, so shopping should be a bit easier.
