I’ve got a Forwarding Agent, in Ashford, if you get stuck; from a recent time when there was no other way round.

R25 towbar. Series 1 or 2? My 1 autos got a towbar ( I’ll never use)& I ‘ think’ there’s a 2 towhitch in its boot.

Problem is, I’m not going to be anywhere near it, till Feb!

It is a series 1 I am after and in no hurry I just won't have a car to pull my little trailer after next week. I have found one in Le Mans which I can collect this week if the seller gets back to me.

Hi Nigel yes I have a tow bar for the 25. Getting that back to the UK was easy. Getting this car back is causing problems. The shiply transporter was in such a rush to get the job he didn't ask about the customs paperwork and assumed when I said the papers were with the car I meant import papers as well as the carte gris etc. It is currently stuck at Calais and I am awaiting a call from the agent this morning to get it sorted. I am hoping as I am vat registered and have an EORI number they can get it sorted quickly. Thats what happens when you get rushed to sort stuff. Hopefully it will be sorted by the end of the day and doesn't cost me a fortune in extra fees.

Well hopefully I have sorted getting the car out of Calais and into blighty now. What a faff importing has become. Apparently if you turn up at the docks without the paperwork they assume you are trying to smuggle it in. How the fuck you smuggle a fucking great pre war car I don't know. Fingers crossed he gets back over here later today and drops it to me next week. Here are a couple more photo's to be going along with.
